Multi-Game Open Play

07/21/2009 - 11:00am
07/21/2009 - 3:00pm

Once a month this summer we will by having a Multi-Game Open Play on Tuesdays that will last 5 hours. We will be rotating through all the games we currently own, and welcome you to bring one to share. The library has both WIIs and Game Cubes. The more people can play the game and the higher the fun factor, the more likely it will be acceptable. I've been told to expect Street Fighter to show up again. Last month there were over 60 attendees, but usually 20-40 people in the room at a time.

Remember, this program is for all ages. If you bring a game it can not be rated any higher than teen and should not have gratuitous violence. TADL BATL committee members and Library staff will decide whether or not your game can be played based on the nature of the game, how old the people in the room are, and if there is a game console available.
    We have:
  • Guitar Hero
  • DDR
  • Super Smash Bros.
  • Mario Kart
  • Madden
  • Custom Robo

We played three full tournament rounds last Saturday.

Round one finalist were John Paul, Tyler, and Alex with Tyler coming out on top.

Round two finalist were Rob and Tyler, with Tyler once again at the top.

Round three finalist were Alex and Rico with Alex taking the match.

Alex and Tyler then faced off to see who would take the top spot of the day.
Tyler took first place and that put Alex in second.

Tyler was heard to say "that was an intense match" or something to that effect.

The MVP finalist were Alex, Tyler, Olivia, Rico, Troy, Ben, Zach and Scott...with Tyler taking the top MVP spot.

Good job everyone!
